普照　[fusho] (Shine all over)

仏の教えは、全世界を普く照らす。
太陽のごとく、父の教えのごとく、母の愛のごとく。

水牛は、ゆっくりと自ら上がり、

太陽の下へ、光を浴びに！

The water buffalo comes out of the water
Slowly
To bathe in the sunlight

無心　[mushin] (Noevil thought, Innocence)

牛は無心に草を食む。
今年こそ無心に生きたいと思う。その心が無心ではない？
ネパールの山岳地帯ではゾプキョ（雄-ヤク、雌-ウシの混血種）が荷を運ぶ。

Cattle are grazing.
Cattle are grazing without an evil thought.

普賢　[hugen] (Bodhisattva)

牛が角を立てている
普賢菩薩は仏、理性はもとより健康をもつかさどる
牛に引かれて善光寺参り。
普賢岳噴火、福井の原子力発電所“ふげん”の事故

A Horned cattle.
This Buddha fathers  not only reason but also health.
May we remember the eruption of Mt. Fugen; the Fukui “Fugen” nuclear power accident.
