泉 [izumi] (Spring or Fountain)    
泉（水源）をつかさどるといわれる蛇。
泉、川、海、雲、霧、雨。
大いなる水の循環。

The fountains, the rivers, the sea, the clouds, the fogs, the rain.
The great cycle of water.
Ah! We humanity are a humble part of it.

巳…蛇　　Snake, Serpent
無　[mu｣(Nothing， Like air)

枝に絡む蛇。
鎌首をもたげ、振り向くは二十世紀か？
飛び込むは二十一世紀の荒波か？

　　　　

A snake coils up around a branch.
Turning its long neck, looks back at the 20^th century.
Ready to plunge into the turmoil of the 21^st.
