宙　[tyu] (Space or Cosmos)  

海から竜巻にのって駆け上がる龍

往古来今、これを宙という。また、四方上下を宇という。
併せて、宙宇または宇宙という。
宙は、過去・現在・未来に及ぶ無限の時間を表わす。
いわば四次元。

海面がザワザワとし、卯・巳（海）の中から辰（龍）が出現。
いわゆる竜巻にのって・・・

2000年ミレニアム、身をくねらせ何に向かって駈けるか？
龍が駈ける雷雲、雪雲の下では、真白き梅の花が静かに咲いている。
十二支のうちでただ一つ架空の動物。

Soaring dragon.
It is the millennium. To where does it climb?
The only fantasy character in the zodiac.
